Michael Paul PhD, CVA, MRICS
Michael Paul (born 1968) is co-founder and managing partner of paul und collegen consulting and focuses on financial recovery, THE restructuring of companies and M&A. Since April 2016, he has been a court-certified expert in the field of business valuation and corporate planning. He is also a regular lecturer at the University of St. Gallen and other universities. He is the author of numerous articles in journals and of specialized books.
Michael Paul has been advising and providing expert advice in the film-industry field in Germany and Austria for 20 years. He has done restructuring and strategy projects for studio and production companies as well as projects in the field of film preservation and digitalization of film heritage. He has advised governmental and funding institutions and associations of film producers about film funding, tax incentives and the effects of film on tourism. He is frequently asked to write expert reports and articles on these topics.

Gerald Zachar, MA
Gerald Zachar (born 1973) graduated in history and ethnology and started his career in project and customer management at an international corporation. After several years as a trainer and lecturer (including at the École supérieure de commerce de Paris (ESCP) and the University of Vienna), he became a consultant at paul und collegen in 2012.
Gerald Zachar carries out projects and supervises the study and review activities. His main areas of work are: project management, business planning, information management and data analysis. He has published on various topics, most recently: ‘Evidencing the Economics of Film Festival Funding: Do Government Subsidies Help?’ (with Michael Paul, Springer, 2018).
Gerald Zachar is trilingual (German, French and English).

Jenny Unterkofler, BA
Jenny Unterkofler (year 1996) is currently studying the theatre, film and media master studies at the University of Vienna and is also taking part in the course “art&economy”. After collecting some experiences in various internships in the fields of theatre, film and media, she has now been business researcher at paul und collegen since 2020.
Jenny Unterkofler accompanies and assists the studies. Her focus lays on business research, data analysis and social media.
Jenny Unterkofler speaks three languages (German, English, Italian).
